Dead Arrival Colony Ship
How did baobao spend his last day before the accident? Had exactly 1 day before the captain planted the beacon, which wouldve then allowed him to go home
- No duties, just have to enjoy it
- Everything heavy duty picked up, little celebration meals amongst the crew
- Didnt know what was abt to happen
- All of the xenobiologists were called to stations immediately
Jabari
- Happily enjoying a meal, a feast with the rest of the crew
- Sitting with atka, probably drunk, excited to go home
- Wouldve only been a 70 hour trip back once the beam was set up
- Founders of a new area, would have the naming rights
Bwip!
- She’s bummed, hasnt caught a single criminal, hasnt done a good job, trying to scrounge thru the trash
- Digging thru dumpsters, maintenance robots asking her to stop
- Unfortunately was incredibly clear trip
- Able to see papers shift when the ship makes a sudden turn
- She snatches them up, various recipes and receipts thrown away
- Ppl here are odd!
- Basil the service robot serves proportionate alcohol to the people, 2 drinks per crew member
- Thinks, but it passes her by. Excitement she can go to an actual city! Money to start her own agency
- We would get fuck off levels of money, invest it wisely

- Packing repacking, packing repacking, very nervous
- At least 2 drinks in
- Hasnt actually Been on a planet as much as she remembers

- Sells 2 drinks
- Waiting on the countdown
- Nervously reviewing- doesnt understand the beacon, trying to make sure all the electrical looks good
- Shes gotta take pictures of things to send to the 50 babies who are not adults
- Nothing seems all the matter, able to look at the structures and the like
- Solar winds or smth, but a small tinking sound against pieces of metal occasionally, doesnt see what could cause it
- Entering heliosphere, probably the solar winds
Pleasant night, none the wiser
Eventually, alarm sirens go off, lights go flashing down thru the hallways, leading to various escape pods
Not friendly for baobao, who has sensitive ears
Eventually find our way, no one else comes
- Automated system makes us not hold it, we’ve entered an atmosphere
- Releases us
- Fall into the orange ringed sky, the cold overcomes us from the foam meant to save our lives
An unknown amt of time later, cryogenic freeze undoes itself
Find ourselves overlooking a vista, red emergency light
Things outside cawing, hitting the side of the pod
Moons are odd
- 2 of them visible from the window
- Bwip is looking at space from the ground for the first time
Ground is silent, which means other creatures are avoiding it
Baobao hears a group of creatures flying silently, waiting for something to happen with the pod
- Goes to whatever side has the most people
Fuckass birds that i hate
- They are basically extinct on elven homeworld. But not here!
- Meat of bird is somewhere between red meat of a deer, very gamey, and the fine meat of a pheasant
- Do have to ignore the part that its probably made out of people hearts or smth, just dont think
Ship crashed from outer atmosphere. We have no idea where the main ship is
Near a flood plane
- Early night rn, seems to be summer, around 100 degrees
- Air is a little low in nitrogen, bones will hurt occasionally
- 48 hour days, 20 hour nights 28 hour daytime
In the badlands, itll heat up severely. If we’re still there when the sun comes up, 130degrees
First thing we learn. Mountains across the badlands. Given the cars engine, it can travel for 12 hours before having to charge.
Manage to make our way to a crossroads area, what appears to be a grassy plane
- Lava motes crack into it from the earth
- Rapid burning and healing of trees in a vitality network
- Screesire here… we Could fight it. But it’s hard.
Move on
Rest in the groves
- Battery charges oddly fast. Blue sun charge it fast <3
  - Artificial neon tint like a shopping mall
- On one of the taller mountains, there is smth artificial
  - They carved into a mesa despite it being a naturally sloping mountain
- Foam has an upper limit of 50 years
  - Pod doesnt alert us to the time. As to not cause mass panic
We go up the mountain
- Pink forests on the other side
- Turns from the shade of green into an odd orange, also seems to be cable line installed across several gaps with small pieces of planks that hold them over
- Spiraling down the mountain, like strands of webs, pipes
- Baobao hears Something! Has 3 feet and moves haphazardly. Interrupted by the sound of metal tightening
- We go around the mountain
- Odd cave with pipes going in, seems to be fluid processing plant
  - Lava!
  - Pipes are pretty hot
  - Lava is flowing Down the mountain. This used to be a volcano, was built upon
  - Last blast was abt 1000 years ago
- Robot doesnt care about us
- We see a starmap that wouldve led us to aedryn abt 1k years ago
- Jabari waves at the construct creature, it doesnt seem to respond
- This is a clockwork, ancient type of being. Of elven make
  - Few thousand years old, during the time of the elven monarchies
  - This is not supposed to be here
- Another shows up “name?” in elven
- T: trahern
- “Code.”
- Safety code would be more of a ping, similar to morse code
- It points its halberd at us
- “Descend.”
- “Location not identified. Descend.”
- We descend
- Go back to the cave, see if there’s a way to get up.
  - Basically the underside of a pool that holds lava
- Bwip steals a piece of paper
  - This is basic arcana script, precursor to modern programming
  - Creatures of clockwork can get new orders by going down the line
  - Paper is abt 10 days old
  - Lava pool at the bottom appears to be the source of energy for the entire facility. Could destroy it, lose power, but we could go thru the empty reservoir
- We give the orders to turn off the reservoir, we scurry over
- Bwip picks a lock
- We get burnt :(
- Go up to the observatory
  - Welcome to my space :)
  - Astrolabe, seems to be central galaxies
  - Notes in elven mark potential burgeoning civilizations of ppl. One marks humans, vesk, lashunta. Missing mark where the dwarves would come from (habitable part of their planet is underground)

    - One of which is prestidigitation stones
  - Balled up paper is arcane theories, attempt at spells. Theoretical ones ofc
    - One appears to be an attempt at time beacon, which it says should not exist. It does exist for us, but for him, it was a theory
    - Should be 1000s of years old

      - Known as Manafood, magical food that can take any shape
      - Cannot be flavored, is incredibly bland
      - The wizards that made it liked to shape it like their fave foods
    - Keys are keys. Dont seem to go to anything we know yet
    - Study on how magic is affected by different spells
      - Person who made it could cast 10th rank teleport. Go anywhere within the same galaxy
      - This started a mass exodus of wizards, created competition here. 1 wizard got the idea, many wizard elves followed. They then agreed to start their own state, known as Mageocratic Capitalism
        
        Societal system where wizards would be at the top and could engage in free trade with each other
        
        Utopia away from the small ppl of the normal elven world
  - Person who slept here is reasonably assumed to be an elf
    - Planet symbols correspond to where we were supposed to go

    - It just kinda swirls around before locking in on a directly, slightly off east
    - Compass of transpositional awareness. Lets u know where someone teleported from if u get there within a minute, also sensitive to teleportation effect
    - Jabari briefly dazzles himself
    - Bwip drinks the hot cocoa

  - Adjust the scope
    - Spot 2 things, one of the planes is crashed and a camp is set up there from our ship potentially
    - The other is more valuable but far. Nearby mountain covered in red moss has an antenna from the ship. Useless on its own, but could be attached to a nearby object and allow signals for the nearby region
    - The clockworks notably only go downstairs. The upstairs, the master’s study, is undisturbed
  - At night, look at the sky: all of the other planets are barren. No lights. This is the only one that we can see with life. Far off in the distance we can see the star that’s our home
  - Down the mountain, to the car, head to the camp
  - Able to pull up to a daily empty area, have to walk thru the woods where someone has clearly cleared out a parking area for potential
  - Someone has made a makeshift tavern out of the planecrash
  - Robot waves to us!
  - “Well. welcome!”
  - B: hi!!!
  - “Good for you to wake up. Do you remember me?”
  - B: yes!!!
  - “My name is Beverage & Amenity Service Interface Link, or B.A.S.I.L. if you will.”
  - “How may i and aetherion service you today?”
  - B: how long has the ship been down?
  - “2.5 years. On this planet, 1 and a quarter year.”
  - J: other survivors?
  - “Other survivor pods put off their emergency signals like yours back to aedryn.”
  - (it didnt carry the data that our ship was attacked.)
  - It would take abt 20 years for a fully prepared ship to rescue us
  - J: locations of the other sections of ship? Or were u able to see where they were shut down
  - “I was only able to see. U flew on an aedryn ship, i am an aetherion SRO.”
  - T: we saw a satellite, is that anything
  - “If you set it up, it would unlock the pods. But u should find the other survivors, some are orbiting the planet.”
  - “I legally cannot sell water and my aetherion programming does not allow me to have what i cannot sell. Are you familiar with the aetherion motto?”
  - B: remind us?
  - “Currently, our front facing amenity robots have the motto ‘everything good has a price, and we sell the best!’”
  - J: doesnt include water????
  - “No, aedryn calls water a human right and thus we cannot sell it.”
  - Basil wants a new battery so he can move around, we can take a crashpod battery and repurpose it
  - He offers us credits or Aethercoin, we’ll take credits
  - Fresh water 1 mile northward
  - Radioactive zone a mile west, close to the location of the antenna
